Richard Davis leads the company’s Environmental Management & Approvals practice. With over 30 years’ expertise in scientific assessment and approvals management in Australia and internationally, Richard is one of the industry’s most trusted environmental consultants. 

He commenced his career as a geoscientist with BHP Billiton, before moving into client consultancy in 2000, specialising in environmental impact assessments, environmental monitoring, licensing and approvals. In that time, Richard has led and advised on scores of projects across a range of industries (mining, oil and gas, industrial minerals, power generation, quarries, agriculture, waste), including EIS for coal and industrial minerals projects, multiple gas-fired power station approvals, detailed surface water and groundwater assessments to support licence amendments. 

Richard has a particular interest in groundwater impact assessment and acid mine drainage assessments. His comprehensive industry experience enables him to quickly identify key risks for clients undertaking project and company due diligence. 

Richard is a Certified Environmental Practitioner CEnVP (#263) and a member of the EIANZ and AIG.
